Include your iPhone model, iOS version and what happened. Please leave out personal photos and baby details unless they are needed.
Getting started
Start with the free sample scenes and choose an age on the curved age path below the framed picture. To use your own surroundings, unlock the camera with the one-time purchase and allow camera access. Tap the picture’s expand button to inspect the selected estimate; collapse it to adjust age again. Hold the picture to see the adult view, then release to return to the estimate. Use the book button for Science, and Add baby at the top for an optional profile.
The camera is blank
Open iPhone Settings → Apps → Early Eyes and allow Camera access. Return to the app. If the camera still does not appear, close and reopen Early Eyes, then try switching between the front and rear cameras.
Zoom and Life size
Use the scale slider below the framed picture, or pinch the picture, to move between Full view and Life size. Life size aims to match the scene’s size when you hold the phone at arm’s length. Zooming out shows more of the scene at a smaller scale. Phone position, camera limitations and viewing distance affect the result.
Saved moments and sharing
Tap the shutter to keep a moment, then open Moments and select it to explore other ages. The gallery holds up to 60 moments. When the gallery is full, you choose whether to replace the oldest moment. Export anything you want to keep elsewhere before confirming replacement. Regular photo and video sharing remain available. Interactive link uploads the visible original only after you tap Upload and create link, then creates a 30-day link. Anyone with the link can explore ages. Use Moments → Shared links to stop sharing.
Purchases and refunds
Early Eyes is free to download. The sample scene, every age and the developmental reading are included; seeing your own surroundings through the live camera is a one-time in-app purchase, with no subscription. If you already own the camera, choose Restore purchase on the welcome screen or in your baby’s settings. Apple handles payment and refund requests. If it is not right for you, you can ask Apple for a refund. Apple decides eligibility; approval is not guaranteed. Customers who bought Early Eyes or First Light when it was a paid app keep camera access automatically.
What the picture means
Early Eyes estimates visual information available during typical infant development. It cannot show a baby’s subjective experience or assess an individual child’s vision. It is an educational tool, not a vision test or medical device.

Camera processing and baby profiles stay on your device. Regular sharing exports the item you select. Interactive sharing uploads a copy of the selected original photo for up to 30 days. Anyone with its link can view it. No accounts, advertising or tracking.
